Registration for 2011/2012 Season

You may re-register your clubs and boxers for the forthcoming season (2011/12) from 1st of June, but please be aware of the following conditions:
You must NOT agree a bout for your boxers until you have received their registration cards (ME3).
You must allow 14 clear days for registrations to be processed (do not call before the 14 days are up).
All cards should be sent via Royal Mail with a cheque (not cash) for the correct amount, made payable to Home Counties ABA.
Please refrain from putting cards through my door or handing them to me at Boxing Shows.

Coaches and Officials
You can only register as an Official or Coach once you have passed your course and have received a letter of confirmation.
Officials must have a current CRB clearance before registering – Coaches need a current and up to date First Aid Certificate, as well as their CRB.
You need to provide the following with your application:
1. Two passport size photographs (names on the back please)
2. Your date of birth
3. Your home address and the name of your club
4. A copy of the letter stating that you have passed your course
5. The appropriate fee (see details below)

N.B. it is the responsibility of Coaches and Club Secretaries to make sure that all their members’ Medicals and CRBs are up to date.

Annual Registration Form REG1 
You must fully complete the REG1 form and include the full address and postcode of your gym.
It is essential that you also supply your email address.
Subsequent pages on this form will also allow you to register Boxers, Coaches and Officials
Please DO NOT include Recreational Boxers' names on this form.
Incomplete REG1s will be returned. 

ME3 CARDS
Please check all boxers’ photos in ME3s, to make sure that they are current and up to date, and if not, send me two new photos, so I can update their cards.
Please check all addresses and postcodes are correct – again, this is your responsibility not mine!

ME1
Please make sure these are filled out, in CAPITAL LETTERS with full address and postcodes (if I can not read them, I will return them, thus holding up the Registration of Boxers or Club).
I will also require 2 passport photos (names on back) and a copy of their birth certificate with the completed ME1 form.

Please read the ABA Rule Book fully and note paragraph 5 on page 16:
Solely at the MO’s discretion, a boxer's 5 year or1 year medical or re-medical can be carried out at a tournament. Such medicals are not valid at that particular tournament. The Boxer cannot compete until his registration has been updated by the Medical Registrar and entered onto the Medical Registrar Database.

RECREATIONAL BOXERS
If a Boxer holds a recreational card this must also be sent back to be re-registered. If they are getting their first ME3 card, you must return their old Recreational card.
New recreational Boxers need to fill out a Recreational Boxers’ form and send 2 passport photos (please complete forms in CAPITAL LETTERS).

COACHES & OFFICIALS
Please remember to enclose your cards with the appropriate fee, for re-registration.
Coaches and Officials are only allowed to operate once they have been registered for the season.
Unregistered Coaches and Officials are not covered by the ABAE Insurance Policy.

CRB: Please check the expiry date of your CRB Certificate (you are not covered by ABAE Insurance if your CRB expires in the middle of the season).
Please fill in a new form now before your CRB expires (CRBs typically take 2-3 months to be processed).

Coaching Certificates: You must attend a Refresher Course every 3 years.
You will not be re-registered if you have not attended a refresher course.

ID Cards: All Officials and Coaches must wear their ID Cards when working at tournaments – please return your old badges and I will issue a new one for you.

TRANSFERS
Please note that all Boxers and Coaches must fill out a transfer form, before moving Club or Association.
No Boxer may box for another club until I have transferred him.

LOST CARDS
A 28 day period must have passed after you have reported your card as being lost, before I can issue a replacement.
Full cost will be charged for the Replacement Card.

PAYMENTS
Please do not send cash or give me cash at shows - payment is by club cheque or postal order, made payable to HOME COUNTIES ABA.
